NOVEMBER WRAP-UP | Lagos, Nairobi & a Major MoU

November was full of on-the-ground engagement across West and East Africa. From exclusive mixers in Lagos to an important agreement for vocational education in Senegal, we spent the month creating meaningful business results for our European Scaleups.

🇳🇬 In Lagos: Fintech, Cybersecurity & 60+ Innovators

Our team hosted a high-energy mixer in Lagos, co-organized with two scaleups:

• Kikimora.io, cybersecurity specialists who recently launched an AI-powered vulnerability agent
• IBS Bulgaria, a RegTech delivering advanced fraud prevention tools

In parallel to numerous business meetings during the week for both Scaleups, we gathered over 60 leaders from Nigeria’s fintech, banking, and security ecosystems. The energy was unmatched — and the potential, even more so.

🇰🇪 In Nairobi: Supporting Myriad’s Regional Strategy

Chapter54 Managing Director Vincent Previ travelled to Nairobi to support Myriad, our Paris-based scaleup developing value-added telco services across 14+ African countries. It was a key moment to solidify their East Africa roadmap.

🇸🇳 In Dakar: Buku Signs Landmark MoU

In Senegal, scaleup Buku took a major step forward by signing a Memorandum of Understanding with the DGFPT, the public agency for vocational and technical education. Together, they aim to improve digitalisation and access to world-class academic and professional content in French across Senegal’s TVET system.

November reminded us that relationship, both new and longstanding, is the foundation of successful expansion. And that momentum? It’s only picking up speed.
