May was a busy month for the Chapter54 team. From Amsterdam to Munich, we joined conversations that continue to shape our work and strengthen our network:

🌍 The 4th edition of the Chapter54 Summit, this time in Amsterdam!

On May 12th, we brought the Chapter54 community together in Amsterdam for the fourth edition of our annual Summit. More than 80 founders, operators, investors, and ecosystem partners from Africa and Europe joined us for a day of conversations, insights, and connections. This year, discussions focused on how AI is creating practical opportunities across African markets and where the greatest potential lies.

We heard from entrepreneurs and industry leaders who shared their experiences of growth, innovation, and expansion across the continent. A special thank you to Miishe Addy-Asare (Jetstream Africa), Hatem Kandeel (Digital Access to Finance), Wouter van Hulten (Africa Data Centres Association), Stone Atwine (Eversend), Adil Tourabi (OVHcloud), George Mienie (AutoTrader), Matteo Silva (Heineken) and our surprise guest, Shishani.

🚀 Back to Munich: staying close to Europe’s leading startup ecosystems
Later in the month, Vincent, Managing Director of Chapter54, travelled to Munich to attend a gathering hosted by UnternehmerTUM, one of Europe’s most active startup and innovation ecosystems.

This echoes the Chapter54 dinner we co-hosted alongside the DLD Conference in Munich last January, where founders, operators, and ecosystem leaders came together to better understand the challenges and ambitions of companies looking to grow internationally.
