As we head into the summer break, we're looking back on another month of exciting new additions to the Chapter54 community, and fresh momentum for European Scaleups expanding across Africa. Here's a quick look at what kept us busy throughout July:

🤝 A warm welcome to our newest mentor, Omar Ramadan

We're delighted to welcome Omar Ramadan to the Chapter54 mentor network. As the Founder of Egypt's leading home services marketplace FilKhedma, later acquired by SweepSouth, and now CEO GCC at MNT-Halan, Egypt's largest and fastest growing lender to the unbanked and underbanked, Omar brings a wealth of operational experience gained from scaling businesses across multiple African markets. His entrepreneurial journey and practical insights will be a fantastic asset for the founders joining this year's Chapter54 cohort!

🏗️ Welcome aboard, Immersight!

This month also marks the arrival of Immersight, the latest European Scaleup to join the Chapter54 program. The German company develops innovative digital twin technology that combines 360° imagery with advanced scanning software to create highly accurate digital replicas of buildings, rooms and construction sites. From construction and renovation management to damage restoration, remote onboarding and team collaboration, Immersight is helping transform the built environment through smarter digital tools.

🎤 Chapter54 at the EuroAfrican Forum 2026

From 15 to 17 July, our Managing Director, Vincent Previ, was in Lisbon to take part in the EuroAfrican Forum 2026. Vincent joined Audrey Mothupi-Palmstierna, CEO of SystemicLogic Group, and Margarida Almeida, Director of Innovation Strategy & Communication at Altice Labs, for a panel moderated by Patrícia Gonçalves of the Portuguese Diaspora Council. Together, they explored how stronger digital ecosystems, cross-border partnerships and entrepreneurship can drive shared prosperity across Africa.
