Here's a look at what kept us busy in August, from a new addition to the Chapter54 community to milestones from our scaleups across the continent.

🇫🇷 Bienvenue, 2AC Technologies

This month we welcomed 2AC Technologies, a French audit and consulting firm, to Chapter54. 2AC brings 30+ years of experience across 40+ African countries, working with DFIs, government entities and development organizations. Chapter54 will support the team in expanding their technological solutions to new projects, partners & clients across the continent.

📍 Kawarizmi Group opens an office in Dakar

Kawarizmi Group, the AdTech company specialized in diaspora audiences, officially opened an office in Dakar this month, following its acquisition by Yassir earlier this year. Chapter54 supported Kawarizmi through two acceleration journeys, and the company is now also a Chapter54 perk provider.

🌱 Computomics raises €6.3 million

Computomics, the German bioinformatics company we welcomed to the Chapter54 program in June, has raised €6.3 million to support its next phase of growth. Chapter54 continues to support the team as they explore growth opportunities across African markets in the plant & seed breeding sectors.

🇨🇩 Myriad secures its license in the DRC

Myriad has officially obtained its license from the Central Bank of Congo, covering its activities as an aggregator and provider of payment software and solutions. The company was already active in the country, working with microfinance institutions including Advans Congo, Hekima and SMICO to support the digitalisation of their payment infrastructure.
