Monthly RoundUp – April 2026
23 April 2026 | Chapter54April was a strong reminder of what Chapter54 is built for: being on the ground, helping scaleups turn African expansion plans into reality, and strengthening the bridges between European and African tech ecosystems. Here’s a concise look at what shaped the month.
🌍 On the ground in Morocco
The Chapter54 team spent time in Morocco, first at GITEX Marrakesh, the biggest Tech event on the continent, and then in Casablanca for business meetings. It was our 4th year in a row in Morocco for GITEX and certainly not the last as there is so much value in (re)connecting with so many founders, operators, and ecosystem builders on the ground.
🤝 Kikimora expands in Nigeria with a new partnership
One of our accelerated scaleups, Kikimora, a Bulgarian cybersecurity expert, took a major step forward in its African journey by signing a new partnership in Nigeria. This agreement with Qucoon, AWS Rising Star Consulting Partner of the Year 2024, marks a significant milestone in Kikimora’s local anchoring and reflects the kind of pragmatic, partnership-led expansion that Chapter54 actively supports. Nigeria remains a priority market for many European scaleups, and this collaboration reflects a shared commitment to helping African fintechs and enterprises build stronger, more adaptive security capabilities for the future.

April also marked an important milestone as we officially announced all speakers for the upcoming Chapter54 Summit.
