Monthly Round-Up- June 2025

May has been a month of meaningful connections and strategic expansion for Chapter54! From supporting our scaleups on the ground in North Africa to welcoming industry heavyweights to our mentor network, we've continued strengthening the bridges between European innovation and African opportunity. Here's what kept us busy this past month:

🇩🇿 Our team was on the ground in Algeria! Mimi travelled to Algiers from May 26-29 to support our accelerated scaleup, Agurotech, and expand our network across the region. Agurotech continues to make impressive strides in precision agriculture, with their solutions now supporting 80+ crops and delivering up to 20% water savings and up to 20-30% higher yields for farmers. During her visit, Mirja connected with key stakeholders across the agribusiness, and tech ecosystems, laying the groundwork for future partnerships and growth opportunities.

🤝 Two exceptional mentors joined our network! We're thrilled to welcome John Muo, Lead for Growth - Digital Products, Innovation & Partnerships at Airtel Nigeria, and Bunmi Cynthia Adeleye, Chief Strategy Officer at ShopRite Nigeria. John brings over a decade of product leadership experience in telecoms, with deep expertise in AI and data-driven innovation. Bunmi is a proven expert in helping African retail, tech, and consumer goods leaders achieve revenue growth through commercial strategy and transformation. Their addition reinforces our commitment to connecting scaleups with mentors who've walked the path before.

🎤 Chapter54 took the stage in Athens! Vincent participated as a panelist at the Panathenea event on May 8th, sharing insights alongside Ahmed Nader, General Manager of Geidea. These speaking opportunities allow us to contribute to important conversations about European-African business development while expanding our reach across new markets.
